Its purpose is to help students realize their dreams within the local community and grow into future talents.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will continue to collaborate on regional education cooperation projects from March 2026 to February 2028, focusing on discovering local educational resources and planning and operating programs, as well as supporting activities of the educational community.
In particular, the city plans to continue providing administrative and financial support so that students can explore their career paths and develop their competencies within the public education system. In addition, by linking with the Gyeonggi Shared Schools program of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, the city intends to actively support customized growth for students by organically combining school education with local resources.
Mayor Joo Kwangdeok said, "The Future Education Cooperation District is a core pillar of the city's education policy, in which schools and the local community jointly take responsibility for the entire process of students' growth," adding, "We will strengthen cooperation with the Office of Education so that all students can develop their competencies within public education, regardless of their educational conditions and environment."
