Uijeongbu City Launches Comprehensive Lunar New Year Holiday Plan...137 Staff Deployed to Protect Citizen Safety
Operation of "General Situation Room" for 5 Days... Emergency Medical Care and Daily Inconveniences Minimized
Special Holiday Operations at Art and Music Libraries, Medical Services at 251 Hospitals and Clinics
To ensure that citizens can enjoy a safe and comfortable Lunar New Year holiday, Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province will implement a "Comprehensive Plan for the Lunar New Year Holiday" for five days from February 14 to 18.
During the holiday period, the city will operate a general situation room and task forces by sector to respond swiftly to various disasters and accidents, while making every effort to minimize inconveniences in daily life and to protect vulnerable groups.
A total of 12 teams and 137 staff members will be on duty during the holiday, maintaining information sharing and a prompt response system centered on the general situation room. Five staff members from the Autonomous Administration Division will be on duty in the general situation room, overseeing situation reports, initial response, and daily situation management in the event of incidents or accidents.
By sector, the city will operate 11 task forces closely related to citizens' daily lives, including those for traffic and transportation, illegal parking enforcement, emergency medical care, disaster and safety, water supply, environmental pollution prevention, cleaning, public cemeteries, response to child abuse, and library operations, in order to address any inconveniences that may arise during the holiday.
In particular, to prepare for potential emergency patients, the city will establish and operate an emergency medical situation room, and designate and operate Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital, a regional emergency medical center, along with four local emergency medical centers, 251 hospitals and clinics, and 44 holiday on-call pharmacies.
Citizens will be able to check information on medical institutions through the Uijeongbu City website (City News - Latest News) starting February 15.
For citizens' cultural and leisure convenience, the Art Library and Music Library will offer special holiday operations in addition to their regular opening days. They will be open from Saturday, February 14 to Monday, February 16, and Wednesday, February 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
