Krit Ventures Makes Seed Investments in Deep-Tech Startups Early and Noahs Farm
Venture capital firm Krit Ventures announced on the 10th that it has made seed investments in two deep-tech startups: digital healthcare company Early and artificial intelligence (AI) food-tech company Noahs Farm.
Early is a developer of a urine test-based self-diagnosis device that enables early detection of four major chronic diseases — cancer, kidney disease, heart disease, and diabetes — in the home, and is headquartered in London, United Kingdom. By adopting electrochemical sensing technology instead of conventional test-strip methods, it offers higher analytical accuracy, and its dedicated app allows for easy health monitoring.
Co-founder and world-renowned designer Thomas Heatherwick participated in the product planning and device design, creating a user-friendly interface.
Noahs Farm is a food-tech startup that discovers and designs flavor components that determine the taste and aroma of food. Based on its proprietary AI model N-Palette1, it selects candidate molecules and generates formulation combinations from among hundreds of millions of possible molecular combinations without physical experimentation. This reduces the time and cost required to develop new flavor components.
Flavor components such as blueberry, Alps white peach, and grape developed by Noahs Farm have shown results indicating 80% similarity to the actual taste in electronic-tongue tests and evaluations, and related patents are currently being filed. The company also plans to develop new flavor components with high potential in the food and beverage industry, including vanilla, saffron, and coffee.
Krit Ventures is moving in earnest into investment in the deep-tech sector. It has already added promising deep-tech startups such as AI semiconductor design company FuriosaAI and modular robot automation platform developer Withpoints to its portfolio.
