Busan Port Authority's "Chain Portal" Wins International Award at World Governments Summit
"Global Future Fit Seal Award" at Dubai WGS...First in the Port and Logistics Sector
Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on the 4th that its self-developed Busan Port digital platform, "Chain Portal," received the "Global Future Fit Seal Award" at the 2026 World Governments Summit (WGS) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The award ceremony took place on the 3rd.
The "Global Future Fit Seal Award" is an international award organized by the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, granted based on a comprehensive evaluation of innovation, sustainability, and other factors in government projects that proactively respond to changes in future society. According to the organizers, the final winners were selected through a rigorous, performance-based evaluation of more than 1,500 projects worldwide, and in the port and logistics sector, Chain Portal is the first-ever recipient.
Chain Portal is a digital platform that goes beyond a simple port operation support system to integrate and optimize the entire port logistics process by linking, in real time, data from land (transport companies and truck drivers), port (terminals), and sea (shipping lines).
Its role in generating tangible results, such as improving port operation efficiency, enhancing vessel arrival and departure processes, and increasing user convenience, was cited as a key reason for this award.
The on-site, user-centric system "Allcon-e," used by 100% of truck drivers utilizing Busan Port, has been recognized as a representative example of how on-site workers, for whom digital transformation is relatively challenging, have naturally embraced change.
The World Governments Summit organizers described Chain Portal as "a case that has demonstrated both a bold vision for future readiness and concrete results," adding that "it has shown the scalability of mobile-based digital platforms in the port logistics sector."
Previously, Chain Portal was introduced as the "representative best port community system (PCS) in Northeast Asia" in a report jointly published in 2023 by the World Bank and the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH). In the same year, it received the Presidential Citation at the 31st Korea Logistics Awards, drawing attention as an exemplary case of digital transformation in port logistics.
Song Sangkeun, President of Busan Port Authority, said, "Chain Portal is not only a source of competitiveness for Busan Port, but also a digital foundation that connects logistics networks into one," adding, "Leveraging this award, we will promote the status of Korea's digital ports to the world and take the lead in AI and digital transformation in global port logistics."
