Korea Investment & Securities Completes Setup of Profit-and-Loss Sharing "Korea Value K Power 2 Fund"
Korea Investment & Securities announced on January 30 that the profit-and-loss sharing public fund, "Korea Value K Power 2 Fund," has completed its setup after raising 111.4 billion won.
This fund is a profit-and-loss sharing fund that diversifies investments into seven sub-private funds, each reflecting the latest trends in the domestic stock market: Korea Value Advanced Medical, Korea Value Future Tech, Korea Value Global Value Chain, Korea Value Power & Grid, Korea Value Consumer, Korea Value Clean Tech, and Korea Value Content Power. Clients invest in the senior tranche, while Korea Investment Value Asset Management invests in the subordinated tranche. As a result, even if the fund incurs losses, the company will absorb losses up to -15% per individual sub-private fund before clients are affected.
Profit-and-loss sharing funds are attracting attention in the market by providing investors with both stable returns and loss protection, while also delivering strong performance. In line with recent trends in the financial market that emphasize investment stability and sustainable investment experiences, Korea Investment & Securities has consistently expanded its offering of consumer protection-oriented products, such as profit-and-loss sharing funds. Including the Korea Value K Power 2 Fund, the company has now launched a total of 13 profit-and-loss sharing public funds in the market, with cumulative funds raised reaching 1.305 trillion won.
