CJ ENM Recruits Creators for 'O'PEN' Project to Discover New Drama and Film Talents
Full Support from Planning to Business Matching
On January 2, CJ ENM announced that it is recruiting creators to participate in this year's 'O'PEN' project.
O'PEN is a support program for emerging creators that assists with every stage from planning and production to business matching. Over the past ten years, it has produced more than 390 talents, including writer Shin Haeun of 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,' and has established itself as a gateway to the industry.
This year, the company will select the 10th class of 'Storytellers,' who are drama and film writers, and the 8th class of 'O'PEN Music,' which consists of composers. Applications for the drama category are open until January 15, while applications for the film category will be accepted from February 2 to February 11. All creators who do not have a writing contract are eligible to apply.

The evaluation will be conducted through a 'blind process,' meaning only the script will be reviewed. Applicants may submit up to five scripts for the drama category and up to three for the film category. A CJ ENM representative stated, "We plan to focus our evaluation on the writer's unique perspective and ability to build characters, rather than on genre or subject matter."
