Yangpyeong County Selected as Excellent Institution for Second Consecutive Year in Gyeonggi-do Universal Care Project
Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jinseon) announced on December 30, 2025, that it has been selected as an excellent institution for the second consecutive year in the 2025 Universal Care Project evaluation.
This evaluation was conducted by Gyeonggi Province, targeting 29 cities and counties within the province. The assessment focused on several criteria, including performance in providing universal care services, the appropriateness of budget execution, promotional achievements, efforts to improve service quality, and the implementation of outstanding internal cases.
Yangpyeong County received positive reviews for demonstrating stable results across the project through the expansion of care service usage and field-oriented operations. In particular, the county was recognized for its proactive project promotion, management of service providers, and operation cases reflecting local characteristics, all of which received high marks.
The Universal Care Project was fully launched in February 2024. In 2024, a total of 1,169 services were provided to 1,066 individuals, including 208 cases of daily care, 17 cases of companion care, 550 cases of residential safety, 91 cases of deep cleaning and disinfection, and 303 cases of meal support.
In 2025, the scope of care was further expanded by introducing a new home medical visit service. That year, a total of 1,096 services were provided to 904 individuals, including 202 cases of daily care, 19 cases of companion care, 536 cases of residential safety, 106 cases of deep cleaning and disinfection, 194 cases of meal support, and 39 cases of home medical visits.
