Siheung Selected as Outstanding Local Government for Local Gift Certificate Program... Secures 200 Million Won Special Grant Tax
On December 30, the city of Siheung in Gyeonggi Province announced that it had been selected by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety as an outstanding local government for its local gift certificate program, securing a special grant tax of 200 million won.
As a unique Siheung-style initiative to support livelihood recovery, the city promoted the "Sirupangpang Day," which offered additional discounts, receiving strong support from citizens and small business owners. As a result, the city achieved a total issuance of 270 billion won in its local currency, "Siru," over the past year.
The secured special grant tax will be used as a resource for local economic recovery. The city plans to continue implementing various policies to boost sales for small business owners and to revitalize the local economy.
