Daegu Venture Village, Largest Private Startup Incubation Space in the Region, Opens... Kickstarting the Startup Ecosystem
Daegu-Gyeongbuk Startup Forum Association and Allinwork Sign MOU
Begin Recruiting Tenant Companies
'Daegu Venture Village,' the largest private startup incubation space in Daegu, which is expected to lead the city's startup ecosystem into a new era, has officially begun operations.
The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Startup Forum Association (Chairman Geum Yongpil) and Allinwork Co., Ltd. (CEO Jung Jinwook) announced on the 29th that they recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Allinwork auditorium to discover and nurture local startups.
◆ Region's First Startup-Customized Design... Capacity for 350 Companies
Located near the Daegu MBC intersection, 'Daegu Venture Village' is a 14-story building, and for the first time in the region, it was planned from the design stage as a space dedicated to startup support and shared offices.
This facility boasts the capacity to accommodate approximately 350 companies simultaneously.
In particular, the introduction of a 'fully furnished' system means that interior design, office furniture, OA equipment, as well as sleeping quarters and rest areas are all fully equipped, creating an environment where entrepreneurs can focus on their work immediately without any additional preparation.
◆ One-Stop Support Model for Space, Finance, and Education
Under this agreement, the two organizations will jointly operate practical growth support programs for prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs.
The main areas of cooperation include: ▲ discovering and nurturing startup companies ▲ providing support for financial and investment attraction ▲ operating specialized startup education and mentoring programs ▲ building a local startup network and facilitating information exchange.
Allinwork Co., Ltd., the operating company, will provide space at reasonable costs, while the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Startup Forum Association, with its network of about 2,500 members, will leverage its strong network to offer mentoring and investment consulting, aiming to create synergy through these software-based supports.
◆ Move-In Available Immediately from January 1 Next Year... Recruitment Begins
Geum Yongpil, Chairman of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Startup Forum Association (also Chair of the Department of Startup Management at Daegu Catholic University), stated, "This agreement marks an important milestone in strengthening the local ecosystem by combining privately-led startup spaces with a robust startup network. We will continue to expand support projects to foster the growth of small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs."
Jung Jinwook, CEO of Allinwork Co., Ltd., added, "We will take the lead in providing optimal infrastructure to minimize the initial costs for startups, while also building a sustainable, privately-driven startup support ecosystem."
Meanwhile, Daegu Venture Village will begin recruiting tenants for independent private offices and open multi-person offices, both available for immediate move-in starting January 1.
Additionally, the facility will offer free use of the auditorium and meeting rooms to local entrepreneurs and educational institutions, and plans to regularly hold startup forums and investment consulting sessions.
