Gyeonggi Province Publishes Apartment Management Audit Casebook
Gyeonggi Province published a casebook on December 26, summarizing the major audit cases identified this year in the field of apartment management. Since 2017, Gyeonggi Province has released such a casebook annually.
This year’s casebook focuses on key findings from recent audits conducted by Gyeonggi Province and its cities and counties. It includes real audit cases covering a wide range of areas such as the operation of residents’ representative councils and election management committees, the execution and accounting of management fees, and the selection of contractors for construction and service projects.
Additionally, the casebook contains Q&A cases regarding the latest Gyeonggi-do Apartment Management Regulation Guidelines, responses from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to legal inquiries, and legal interpretations by the Ministry of Government Legislation.
Previously, Gyeonggi Province distributed the “Top 10 Major Apartment Management Audit Cases” to organizations that provide training for housing management companies, management office directors, and members of residents’ representative councils, so that it could be used as educational material.
Hong Ilyoung, Director of the Apartment Housing Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, “This casebook has been designed to help prevent various problems in apartment management and to provide practical support for protecting residents’ rights and interests.”
