Gapyeong County Achieves Excellent Grade in Comprehensive Integrity Assessment
"Integrity Efforts" Rated Grade 1
Only 5 Counties Nationwide Achieved This Distinction
Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province has achieved an overall Grade 2 in the "2025 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment" organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. This marks an improvement of one level compared to last year's Grade 3, drawing attention as it reflects external recognition of Gapyeong County's efforts to promote integrity initiatives throughout the organization.
Gapyeong County focused on implementing integrity initiatives from the beginning of the year to achieve the goal of a Grade 2 rating in the comprehensive integrity assessment, and ultimately succeeded. In particular, the county achieved a Grade 1 in the category of integrity efforts. Only five out of 82 counties nationwide received this distinction, and among the 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province, only Gapyeong County and Siheung City achieved this level.
This result demonstrates that the county's anti-corruption and integrity initiatives have been implemented in a practical, not merely formal, manner. Gapyeong County believes that its consistent efforts-such as discovering and operating new integrity policies, improving areas vulnerable to corruption, and spreading a culture of integrity through the participation of all employees-were reflected in this comprehensive integrity assessment.
An official from Gapyeong County stated, "The results of this comprehensive integrity assessment are the culmination of our accumulated efforts to enhance integrity awareness throughout the organization and improve our systems. We will continue to make integrity a core value in our administrative operations, striving to create a trustworthy and transparent Gapyeong that residents can truly feel and rely on."
