The planned parking lot site is located right next to the Jungri Housing District, where large apartment complexes and commercial facilities are concentrated nearby. In particular, as residents are scheduled to begin moving into the Jungri District apartments in earnest from February next year, the city has been proactively working to establish a public open parking lot to address the anticipated parking shortage from the early stages of occupancy.
Through this agreement, the Icheon Agricultural Cooperative will be responsible for site preparation, while the city will handle the installation, maintenance, and operation of the parking lot facilities. The agreement is valid until December 2027. By providing the land, the Icheon Agricultural Cooperative will receive property tax reduction benefits in accordance with the Local Tax Act.
