Yeongwol County Selected for Aging Residential Area Project, Secures 12.5 Billion Won in National Funding
Yeongwol County in Gangwon Province has been selected for the second half of 2025 National Housing Renewal Project, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, securing 12.5 billion won in national funding.
This project aims to improve the living environment in aging residential areas. Yeongwol County has formed a consultative body with residents from Yeongheung 1-ri, 4-ri, 5-ri, and 10-ri, and has prepared for the project through multiple resident meetings.
The main components of the project include the construction of two new community centers and multi-purpose cultural facilities for residents, the development of parking lots and new urban planning roads, and support for single-family home repairs.
