"Revitalizing Daehak-ro"... First 'Winter Uni Street Festa' Kicks Off in Nam-gu, Busan
From Pukyong National University to Kyungsung University,
Universities, Merchants, and Local Government Join Forces
Universities, local governments, and merchants have joined forces to revitalize Daehak-ro, the most prominent university district in Nam-gu, Busan.
On December 18, Pukyong National University announced that the RISE Project Group, the UN Nam-gu Daehak-ro Autonomous Commercial District Cooperative, and the Nam-gu District Office will host the first Winter Uni Street Festa on December 19 and 20.
This festival, organized to boost the Daehak-ro commercial district, will take place from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. during these two days, along Yongso-ro 8beon-gil, between Pukyong National University and Kyungsung University.
During the festival, the area will be transformed into a "Christmas Village" with a fairy tale winter town theme, featuring photo zones, a K-culture experience zone, and a flea market.
On December 19, there will be a street cinema, musicals, and performances by clubs from Pukyong National University and Kyungsung University. The opening ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the same day.
Prior to the opening ceremony, a fan signing event with Lotte Giants baseball players will be held at the Yongso-rang office of the UN Nam-gu Daehak-ro Autonomous Commercial District Cooperative from 4 p.m. Participants were selected by lottery from among those who pre-registered and verified receipts from stores in the area.

On December 20, the street cinema, musicals, and club performances will continue. In addition, a college life talk show and guest singer performances will be held. The festival will close at 8 p.m.
