View original imageThis Labor-Management Council was convened in response to the union's request in April. The process included a review by the relevant departments for each agenda item and practical consultations. The representatives from both labor and management reached a final agreement on 9 out of a total of 15 agenda items, including an increase in welfare points, the granting of special leave in the month of an employee's birthday, and an increase in education expenses for those scheduled to retire. The two sides also took time to exchange opinions focusing on the agreed items.
Mayor Park Hyungdeok stated, "Both labor and management have reached a meaningful agreement through months of dialogue and compromise," adding, "We will make every effort to promptly implement the agreed-upon items."
