Assemblyman Ahn Dogul Named “Outstanding Lawmaker” for National Assembly Audit by Democratic Party of Korea
Assemblyman Ahn Dogul of the Democratic Party of Korea (representing Gwangju Dongnam-eul) announced on December 15 that he has been selected as an “Outstanding Lawmaker for the 2025 National Assembly Audit” by the Democratic Party of Korea.
Assemblyman Ahn has been recognized as an outstanding lawmaker for the National Assembly Audit for two consecutive years since joining the 22nd National Assembly, once again acknowledging his policy expertise and diligent legislative activities.
The Democratic Party of Korea annually selects its lawmakers who demonstrate active legislative work, such as presenting outstanding policies and alternatives during the National Assembly Audit, as outstanding lawmakers.
During this year’s audit, Assemblyman Ahn received positive reviews for his in-depth questions and policy proposals on key issues such as economic recovery, fostering future industries, and stabilizing people’s livelihoods.
In particular, during this year’s audit, Assemblyman Ahn focused on reviewing the new administration’s policy direction aimed at restoring the foundations of the economy, which had been shaken by the previous administration, and on ensuring a balance between stabilizing people’s livelihoods, fostering future industries, and securing fiscal soundness.
He positively evaluated the signs of recovery in major economic indicators since the launch of the new administration, but also called for maintaining a strategic fiscal policy stance to sustain economic recovery momentum.
Amid the intensifying global competition for digital currency dominance, Assemblyman Ahn made a leading policy proposal by highlighting the need to institutionalize a “Korean won-based stablecoin.”
Additionally, he proposed a variety of policy alternatives to foster future industries and stabilize livelihoods, including: ▲ transforming retirement pensions into a fund to guarantee income security for the public in old age, ▲ reviewing follow-up tasks after tariff negotiations with the United States, and ▲ shifting unsold housing and housing supply policies to a consumer-centered approach.
