Celltrion Pharm Officially Launches "ESG Committee"
Independent Governance for Embedding ESG Management
Sustainability Management Report to Be Published Starting in 2026
Celltrion Pharm announced on December 11 that it has established an 'ESG Committee' within its board of directors and has officially begun implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
The newly established ESG Committee serves as the highest decision-making body overseeing ESG management. It is responsible for reviewing major agenda items related to environmental, social, and governance matters and ensuring that ESG management is carried out consistently. Celltrion Pharm has composed the ESG Committee entirely of outside directors to secure the independence of its operations.
Celltrion Pharm is conducting a status assessment and identifying areas for improvement based on its own comprehensive indicators for ESG management evaluation. The company plans to prioritize key tasks by considering industry characteristics and stakeholder demands, and will monitor the implementation status through the ESG Committee. Based on the results derived from this process, Celltrion Pharm intends to identify areas for improvement in ESG management and make ongoing enhancements.
In addition, the company is reviewing its environmental, safety, and health management plans and carrying out risk prevention activities. Starting next year, Celltrion Pharm will also publish a 'Sustainability Management Report' to further enhance transparency and improvements across all ESG management activities.
A Celltrion Pharm representative stated, "As the demand for ESG-related disclosures increases in the global business environment, it is important to continuously monitor the company's status and make phased improvements where necessary. With the establishment of this ESG Committee, we will refine our ESG management system and strengthen our sustainable management capabilities to build greater trust with stakeholders."
