Rolling Admission System for Startup Selection
Spark Biolab, a subsidiary of Spark Lab Group, announced on December 11 that it has officially launched as an accelerator (AC) for bio startups and will begin operating its full-scale programs.
On December 10, Spark Biolab received its AC registration certificate from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups at the '2025 Startup Planner Growth Summit' held during COMEUP 2025 at COEX in Seoul, completing its official registration as a specialized bio accelerator.

Instead, it will implement a rolling admission system with no separate recruitment period, evaluating each applicant company individually and offering tailored, stage-specific growth programs optimized for each company's environment and technological characteristics.
Additionally, Spark Biolab will establish an accelerator program environment that enables bio startups to rapidly address key challenges such as proof of concept (PoC), clinical trials, regulatory compliance, and business expansion strategies. Furthermore, by leveraging Spark Lab Group's networks in the United States, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, and Australia, the company will actively support global expansion and investment connections.
Spark Lab Group has been building infrastructure to foster bio startups, including the establishment of specialized clinical hospitals. Currently, it is supporting 11 bio and wellness startups, including Sysmex Korea, PeopleBio, and Waycen.
