CJ CheilJedang announced on December 10 that its meat processing brand "The Healthier" has launched two varieties of "Low-Sugar Chicken Breast."
The new products come in two flavors: "Teriyaki" and "Charcoal Grilled Chicken." Each contains 21g and 23g of protein, respectively, meeting more than 38% of the daily protein intake recommended by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. In addition, the chicken breasts are coated with a variety of sauces that pair well with the meat, allowing consumers who desire a tasty and healthy diet to enjoy them without hesitation.
In particular, these new products have been developed as "low-sugar" options with only 2g of sugar, thanks to CJ CheilJedang's proprietary technology that combines various alternative sweeteners. They use a special sauce that highlights the flavors of roasted vegetables and soy sauce, with sesame seeds added for an appealing appearance. The chicken is grilled in a direct-fire oven to achieve a rich charcoal aroma and a tender texture, and is offered as a refrigerated product.
"The Healthier" underwent a renewal in July, repositioning itself as a brand focused on "sustainable health" and expanding its product portfolio. The Healthier chicken breast product line saw a 48% increase in online sales from November last year to October this year compared to the same period the previous year.
