At the event, 25 young adults preparing for independent living, who are participating in the Woori Financial Future Foundation's "Self-Reliance Preparation Youth WOORI Chance" project, joined as "Wibee Santas." As seniors, they cheered on the younger children in the facilities, adding meaning to the act of sharing.
"Self-Reliance Preparation Youth WOORI Chance" is a specialized support program that provides six life-cycle-based initiatives-including first birthday parties, Dream Support Boxes, career education, self-reliance kits, and mentoring-for children under protection and young adults preparing for independent living.
Chairman Jongryong Lim, the self-reliance preparation youth, and employees packed the "Dream Support Boxes" together, visited nearby child care facilities to deliver the gifts, and celebrated Christmas with the children. This year, the support was expanded to include middle school students, with two types of boxes tailored by age group, containing practical items such as school supplies, warm clothing, and snacks to support both learning and daily life.
The "Dream Support Boxes" will be delivered sequentially to child care facilities nationwide in cooperation with Save the Children before Christmas. Chairman Lim stated, "With the self-reliance preparation youth joining as Wibee Santas, it has become an even warmer Christmas. We will continue our social contribution efforts for the next generation of children."
One of the self-reliance preparation youth who participated in the volunteer work shared, "I joined with the hope that the support I received would be passed on to the younger children. Seeing the children happy to receive gifts was rewarding, and if I have the opportunity next year, I would like to participate again."
