Yangju City to Hold 2026 Guam District and Ipam 1 District Cadastral Resurvey Project Residents' Briefing Session
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a '2026 Guam District and Ipam 1 District Cadastral Resurvey Project Residents' Briefing Session' on December 16.
This briefing session has been organized to explain the necessity of the project, the details of the implementation plan, and the project promotion procedures to landowners and stakeholders, as well as to collect their feedback.
The project sites are Guam District (area around 45-1 Guam-ri, 223 parcels, 131,783 square meters) and Ipam 1 District (area around 42-2 Ipam-ri, 303 parcels, 339,136 square meters). These districts are areas where the actual land use status does not match the boundaries recorded in cadastral records, causing inconvenience for landowners in exercising their property rights.

The city has signed a service contract with the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, the responsible agency, and plans to complete the project by 2027 through administrative procedures such as cadastral resurvey reference point measurement, land status survey and measurement, boundary setting consultation, designation and public announcement of the project districts, boundary determination, objection process, boundary confirmation, cadastral record organization, and calculation of land adjustment payments for area increases or decreases.
Kim Yongshik, head of the Land Management Division, stated, "The cadastral resurvey project is a legal procedure to prevent boundary disputes and improve the convenience of exercising property rights." He added, "Since the consent of at least two-thirds of the total number of landowners and two-thirds of the total land area is required, we ask for your active interest and cooperation."
