Visit to Nam Cham My in Da Nang City and Dong Nai Province
Worker Selection and Administrative Consultations Held
Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on December 9 that it visited Nam Cham My in Da Nang City and Dong Nai Province in Vietnam to conduct worker selection and hold meetings with local governments to secure foreign seasonal workers for 2026.
First, during the visit to Nam Cham My in Da Nang City, 135 individuals were directly selected as seasonal workers out of a total of 286 applicants.
To ensure fairness and transparency in the selection process, interviews were conducted on-site to assess factors such as work experience (at least one year in agriculture), basic physical fitness and health, and motivation for applying.

During the meeting, participants discussed Hamyang County's intention to dispatch agricultural workers, the potential for labor supply in Dong Nai Province’s agriculture-focused regions, and the worker selection procedures. Through the signing of an agreement, a structure has been established to secure seasonal workers on a stable annual basis, which is expected to greatly help address labor shortages in rural areas.
An official from Hamyang County stated, "The seasonal worker system plays a key role in solving the labor shortage in rural areas, but the transparency of the selection process and the quality of the workforce are most important." The official added, "Through this visit, we were able to enhance the reliability of the selection process and build new cooperative networks, further strengthening our foundation for stable workforce recruitment."
