Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwangdeok) held the "8th Namyangju City Association President's Table Tennis Tournament" on December 7 at the Namyangju Sports and Culture Center Indoor Gymnasium, with 400 table tennis enthusiasts participating in the matches.

Players from 22 clubs participated in the tournament. The opening ceremony included a welcoming address, a presentation of appreciation plaques, and congratulatory remarks, followed by both individual and team matches. The event was attended by Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, Provincial Assemblyman Lee Byeonggil, and Namyangju City Sports Council President Yoon Seonghyeon, who encouraged the athletes.
Participants competed fiercely, demonstrating precise attacks and stable defense. The venue was filled with enthusiastic cheering, and the referees ensured a fair atmosphere by focusing on the rules and sportsmanship.
Mayor Joo Gwangdeok stated, "Table tennis is a representative sport for all ages and genders, and the city will strive to create a healthy community for everyone through the realization of 'One Person, One Sport'." He added, "The vision of an ideal city dreamed of by Jeong Yak-yong is being realized through citizen activities, and the city will continue to leap forward as a 'city beyond imagination'.
