On Monday, December 8, morning temperatures are expected to drop below freezing, especially in the central inland regions, eastern North Jeolla Province, and northern inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province, resulting in cold weather.

View original imageAccording to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul 2.9 degrees Celsius, Incheon 3.8 degrees, Suwon 2.4 degrees, Chuncheon 0.5 degrees, Gangneung 7.3 degrees, Cheongju 5.8 degrees, Daejeon 5.2 degrees, Jeonju 6.2 degrees, Gwangju 8.6 degrees, Jeju 11.8 degrees, Daegu 8.5 degrees, Busan 10.3 degrees, Ulsan 10.3 degrees, and Changwon 11.0 degrees. Daytime highs are forecast to range from 4 to 11 degrees Celsius.
Dry weather advisories remain in effect for the mountainous and east coast areas of Gangwon Province, the northeastern mountains and east coast of North Gyeongsang Province, as well as in Daegu, Busan, Ulsan, Changwon, Gimhae, and some parts of South Gyeongsang Province, where dry conditions are expected to continue.
Fine dust concentrations nationwide are expected to remain at 'moderate' levels.

Wave heights are expected to range from 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea nearshore. In offshore waters (up to approximately 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are forecast at 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
