Hanyang University Hospital and Woori Children’s Hospital Sign Agreement to Strengthen Pediatric Care Cooperation System
Establishing a Rapid Transfer and Referral System
Hanyang University Hospital announced on the 5th that it held a signing ceremony the previous day at its main campus in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, with Woori Children’s Hospital of the Woori Children’s Medical Foundation to strengthen the cooperation system for pediatric patient care.

View original imageThis agreement was established to solidify the emergency and critical care referral system for pediatric patients, expand the collaboration-based medical infrastructure, and improve the quality of specialized pediatric medical services.
The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Hyungjoong, Director of Hanyang University Hospital; Lee Hangrak, Deputy Director; Yang Seung, Head of the Department of Pediatrics; Jung Sungkwan, Chairman of Woori Children’s Medical Foundation; Baek Junghyun, Director of Woori Children’s Hospital; and Gil Hyunsoo, Head of Administration, along with other key officials.
Through this agreement, the two institutions have agreed to cooperate in the following areas: establishing a rapid transfer and referral system for pediatric patients based on severity and emergency situations; collaborating in clinical treatment, education, and research; conducting joint activities to improve the quality of regional cooperation models; and sharing information to promote public safety and health.
Director Lee stated, “Since being designated as a Safe Hospital for Children, we have been leading the way in creating a safe pediatric care environment by expanding specialized personnel, streamlining medical processes, and strengthening connections with local pediatric medical institutions. This agreement is a significant step toward further reinforcing the pediatric emergency care system.”
Chairman Jung commented, “Cooperation with Hanyang University Hospital, a tertiary general hospital, will play a crucial role in strengthening the medical safety net for pediatric patients. We will continue to do our best to provide high-quality specialized pediatric medical services through close collaboration.”
