SK Networks Implements Organizational Restructuring to Boost AI-Driven Growth Execution
AI-Centered Holding Company Structure
On December 4, SK Networks announced that it had carried out an organizational restructuring and executive appointments to establish a holding company structure centered on artificial intelligence (AI).
The company explained that the restructuring and appointments focused on strengthening the profitability of existing businesses, stabilizing its business structure, and reinforcing its AI-driven growth engine through efficient capital utilization.
The AI Division has been renamed the Innovation Division to further develop and materialize innovative business models. Shin Sang-eun, who previously led global new business strategies and digital innovation at a leading U.S. strategic consulting firm, has been appointed as the head of the division.
A new Business Growth Promotion Office has been established under the Information and Communication Business Division to advance the value chain and enhance field-oriented execution capabilities. The Sustainability Office has been renamed the Compliance Office, with the aim of raising the standards of compliance management and safety oversight. Newly appointed executives include Min Bokki as Head of Business Innovation, Lee Kyung-ryul as Head of Compliance, and Choi Hyungyu as Head of the Business Growth Promotion Office in the Information and Communication Business Division.
Subsidiaries have also appointed new leaders to accelerate growth on a stable foundation. SK Intelecs has nominated Ahn Mu-in, CEO of SK Speedmate, as its new CEO. Jang Taejin, who previously led the Distribution Business Office in the Information and Communication Business Division at SK Networks, has been appointed as Head of the Sales Division, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of the rental business through strengthened marketing strategies and field sales capabilities.
CEO Ahn previously increased corporate value at SK Speedmate, which was spun off last year, by introducing a series of AI- and data-driven business models and customer-centric services.
Lee Hwanyong, CEO of Mintit, will concurrently serve as CEO of SK Speedmate next year, with plans to pursue greater efficiency and innovation in automotive management business models. For data company ENCORE, AI expert Kim Jumin has been newly recruited as CEO to drive growth as an AI data specialist firm.
