From November 28 to 30, ten Silla University students took part in the "2025 Second Semester AI-Based Startup Marketing Trend Watching Global Startup Camp," which was operated by Busan Shared University in the Tokyo area of Japan.

The "2025 Second Semester AI-Based Startup Marketing Trend Watching Global Startup Camp" is a collaborative program linked to the "AI-Based Startup Marketing" course jointly offered by ten universities in the Busan region. It is a hands-on educational program that expands the Busan-style entrepreneur development model to a global field setting.

This was an intensive program with a small number of students-about ten from each university-selected to participate. The chosen students experienced the entire process in depth, including idea planning, market validation, and marketing strategy development.

In particular, special lectures on startup marketing theory delivered by professors from the National Pukyong University and local universities in Tokyo-covering topics such as global startup trends, AI-based marketing strategies, and global business model design-helped students focus and engage deeply.

Subsequently, the students conducted surveys and analyses targeting local consumers in Tokyo to validate their team-based startup ideas, refining their items and developing marketing strategies based on the findings.

The materials completed through the process-from survey to marketing strategy development-were used in a competition to select outstanding items, based on criteria such as domestic and international market competitiveness and potential for global expansion.

In this competition, the team consisting of Kang Donghun, Kim Nameun, Kim Junyeop, Park Sieun, and Jeong Yujin from Silla University won the grand prize, while the team of Gam Minju, Kim Haengjin, Lee Sangmin, Lee Junseok, and Choi Yunhee received the excellence award.

This camp went beyond the level of simple ideas based on theory, providing an opportunity to establish startup strategies grounded in real market data and to strengthen adaptability to the global market.

The Silla University students who participated in the camp commented, "By utilizing AI technology, we were able to concretize our startup ideas from a marketing perspective and directly observe the reactions of overseas consumers, which made the idea of starting a business feel much more realistic. The experience of designing a startup strategy for the global market from start to finish gave us great confidence."

Hwang Inju, head of the RISE Project Group at Silla University, stated, "This global startup camp is a high value-added program that focuses more on the 'intensity of education' and 'market field experience' rather than the number of participants. We will continue to expand step-by-step global startup programs so that students can grow into entrepreneurs who look to the world from a Busan base, through startup education that combines AI technology and the global market."

Silla University plans to continue building a system for nurturing Busan-style global startup talent by expanding hands-on programs that integrate overseas field education, global company and university collaboration, and AI-based startup education.
