Wanju County in North Jeolla Province will additionally operate the "Wanju Sinaburo Healing Trail" program on the 2nd and 4th.
According to the county on the 2nd, this program is a healing tourism initiative centered around the Gui Reservoir Trail, a representative tourist attraction in Gui-myeon. It was launched to provide deep relaxation to residents and travelers weary from everyday life, with the first session held on November 29.

View original imageMore than 40 participants gathered from Wanju, Jeonju, Gimje, Yeosu, and other regions, enjoyed leisure time in nature, and expressed a high level of satisfaction.
For the first session, participants engaged in a pottery workshop at a local studio, where they calmed their minds by working with clay. They then visited the Wanju Liquor Theme Museum, the center of Wanju's traditional liquor culture, to explore the history and stories of local spirits and experience the region's unique identity.
Afterwards, participants enjoyed trekking along the Gui Reservoir Trail, one of Wanju's most popular walking destinations. The trail, which combines sparkling water and forest paths, provided participants with deep relaxation and healing for both body and mind thanks to its gentle course and beautiful scenery.
Finally, the "Lemon Ginger Syrup Making Experience" held in Andeok Village, a healing program using seasonal ingredients, received an enthusiastic response. Participants said they were able to rediscover the appeal of local ingredients in Wanju's natural environment and learn healing recipes that can be used in daily life, expressing their satisfaction.
The county plans to use this program to strengthen tourism content based on local resources and expand resident-participatory healing tourism models. In particular, wellness programs utilizing the year-round natural scenery of the Gui Reservoir Trail are receiving steady interest, confirming the potential of a Wanju-style healing tourism brand.
