Commendations and Plaques of Appreciation for Contributors to City Development
On December 1, Miryang City in South Gyeongsang Province held the "2025 Last Employee Communication Day" event at the city hall's main auditorium, with more than 300 employees from the main office, affiliated organizations, towns, townships, neighborhoods, and subordinate agencies in attendance.
The event was organized to review the city's administration over the past year and to strengthen communication within the organization. The program included commendations and plaques of appreciation for contributors to city development, a 2025 retrospective video screening, sharing of outstanding innovation cases, a keynote address, and a communication event.
During the awards ceremony, a total of 48 citizens who contributed to community development-such as this year's outstanding entrepreneurs, exemplary workers, contributors to the promotion of local culture and arts, and contributors to the revitalization of local festivals-received certificates of commendation and plaques of appreciation. In addition, awards were presented to four outstanding public officials who contributed to major city tasks, as well as to five top teams from the 2025 Junior and Senior Innovation Boards.
Attendees watched the video "2025: The Story We Created Together," reflecting on the process and achievements of major policy initiatives throughout the year.
Outstanding innovation cases in city administration were also introduced, including the successful preliminary feasibility study for the Gimhae-Miryang Expressway and the selection of Miryang as the 2025 Culture City of the Year. These cases helped deepen employees' understanding of the city's administrative processes.
During the communication event, employees encouraged each other for their efforts throughout 2025 and shared messages to prepare for the new year, bringing the event to a close.
Mayor Ahn Byunggu expressed his gratitude to all employees for doing their best in their respective roles this year, and asked them to continue striving for stable city administration based on solid internal management.
