Yeongyang County, renowned for its peppers, is preparing for the next 100 years.
On November 25, Yeongyang County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Oh Dochang) held the "2025 Comprehensive Evaluation Meeting of Rural Guidance Project" at the Agricultural Technology Center's main conference room. The event was attended by over 100 people, including model farmers participating in rural guidance pilot projects and executives from learning organizations.

View original imageThis evaluation meeting focused on introducing the achievements of pilot projects such as the dissemination of technologies to respond to climate change, strengthening agricultural work safety, and enhancing the competitiveness of local agricultural products. Participants also discussed the practical effects of each project and shared ideas for future improvements.
In particular, this year, an agricultural machinery exhibition corner was newly established for the first time, creating a more vibrant atmosphere for the event. Farmers showed great interest as they were able to directly inspect the agricultural machinery and equipment. In addition, a tasting event for pepper porridge, prepared by the Agricultural Products Processing Support Center, was held for invited guests. This provided an opportunity to sample the taste and quality of the pepper porridge firsthand, generating positive feedback on the agricultural product processing business.
