View original imageThis agreement was established to ensure the safety of athletes and spectators participating in the Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival and Gyeonggi-do Paralympic Sports Festival, which will be held in Gwangju City next year, by providing prompt emergency response and a comprehensive medical support system.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Bang Se-hwan, Chamjoeun Hospital Director Won Jonghwa, Gwangju City Sports Association President Park Beomsik, and Gwangju City Disabled Sports Association Executive Vice President Nam Yungu.
Under the agreement, Chamjoeun Hospital will be responsible for emergency medical response during the event, establishing a designated hospital system for the venues, and providing consultation on the operation of medical support. Gwangju City will oversee the overall operation of medical support and establish a cooperative network among medical institutions.
Director Won stated, "As this is the first large-scale sports event to be held in the region, we will do our utmost to provide support with a strong sense of responsibility as a local medical institution."
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "With this agreement, we have established a stable medical support system that will ensure peace of mind for both athletes and citizens. We will work closely with Chamjoeun Hospital to create a safe and successful sports festival."
