Gyeonggi Province to Hold Jeonse Fraud Prevention and Support Education for High School Seniors in Yangpyeong on the 26th
On November 26, Gyeonggi Province will conduct an "Education on Preventing and Supporting Victims of Jeonse Fraud" at the main auditorium of Yangpyeong High School to prevent high school seniors, who are about to enter society, from becoming victims of jeonse fraud.
This educational session has been organized to reduce the risk of jeonse fraud that can occur during the first steps toward independence for young adults, and to provide practical information for making safe housing choices. Approximately 180 students will participate in the event.
The curriculum covers the following: an introduction to types of jeonse fraud and real-life cases; guidance on how to sign a safe jeonse contract (including certified copies of real estate registers, fixed dates, and guarantee enrollment); important considerations when entering into a lease agreement; and explanations of various support programs offered by the Gyeonggi Province Jeonse Damage Support Center. The session will be conducted interactively, with explanations and quizzes tailored to the students' level of understanding.
Jeonse fraud cases frequently occur among those with little experience in leasing, such as young adults entering society, newlyweds, and youth. Taking this into account, Gyeonggi Province plans to provide detailed, practical guidance on essential items such as checklists and guarantee enrollment methods that are necessary when signing an actual jeonse contract.
