View original imageAccording to the city on the 24th, this pilot program will designate senior centers with independent spaces and high utilization rates as key locations. In principle, the service will target returning patients, but initial consultations will also be permitted, taking into account the area's status as an emergency medical care underserved region.
For this project, the city has installed digital health measurement devices (autonomic nervous function analyzers, body composition analyzers, and Bluetooth blood pressure monitors) at the designated senior centers.
In addition, Namwon City has developed and introduced its own non-face-to-face consultation platform tailored to local conditions. This platform is linked with the digital devices installed at the senior centers, automatically recording and transmitting the elderly residents’ routine health data. The collected health information will serve as reference material for medical institutions during remote consultations, enabling more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
To ensure elderly residents can use the devices without difficulty, the city has designated dedicated public officials from the administrative welfare centers and senior center managers from each village for the key locations. The city is also providing training to assist with digital device usage, establishing an on-site support system so that seniors unfamiliar with the technology can access the service smoothly.
