Gyeongbuk Technical High School of Machinery Named “Top School” in National Technical Qualification Excellence Evaluation for Second Consecutive Year
All Students Hold a Total of 1,000 Certificates
Gyeongbuk Technical High School of Machinery (Principal Lee Joongu) was honored as the “Top School” in the 2025 National Technical Qualification Acquisition Excellence School Evaluation, earning the distinction of being named the nation’s top school for two consecutive years, following last year’s achievement. The award ceremony was held on November 20 at the Novotel Ambassador Dongdaemun in Seoul, hosted by the Korea Industrial Manpower Corporation.
The National Technical Qualification Acquisition Excellence School Evaluation was introduced in 2024 to encourage the improvement of job competency through the acquisition of technical qualifications and to identify and recognize institutions that cultivate outstanding technical talent.

The school has established an educational foundation to enable students to systematically acquire national technical qualifications. In particular, its industry-oriented, practical training curriculum and customized after-school programs tailored to student levels and job-specific characteristics were highly regarded. Additionally, by operating six process-based industrial engineer training courses-a key strength of the school-Gyeongbuk Technical High School of Machinery has built an integrated education system that combines theory and practice, thereby maximizing students’ expertise.
Principal Lee Joongu stated, “Being selected as the nation’s top school for two consecutive years is a valuable achievement made possible by the passion of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the school’s practical education philosophy. We will continue to strengthen technical qualification acquisition and specialized technical education to foster talented individuals who will lead the future manufacturing and machinery industries.”
