The aim is to address the home medical and care needs of citizens requiring community care and to build an Uijeongbu-style integrated support system for medical and care services through public-private collaboration.
Under the agreement, the three institutions will mutually cooperate for integrated medical and care support, including: ▲collaboration on home visit medical support projects, ▲support for home visit medical services, and ▲identification of service recipients and community linkage.
Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Uijeongbu Hospital and Pyeonhanjari Clinic are currently participating in the city’s “pilot project for long-term care home medical centers and primary care home visit fee system.” Based on their expertise, they provide direct medical services to residents in need of medical and care support by visiting them in person.
Director Lee Inyoung stated, “It is meaningful that the Care Center at Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Uijeongbu Hospital and Uijeongbu City have established a care system together, creating a foundation to directly reach out and support residents who have difficulty visiting the hospital.”
Director Noh Donghun also said, “We will continue to strive so that seniors can enjoy a healthy and happy later life,” adding, “We will work closely with Uijeongbu City to establish a practical and sustainable health care system.”
Mayor Kim Donggeun remarked, “This agreement is significant in that it establishes a mutually beneficial model where private medical institutions and the public sector jointly care for the health of local seniors and vulnerable groups. We will continue to provide support so that residents in need of care can live healthily in their familiar living environments.”
