Additionally, the operation of this booth was planned as a program linking Pyeongchang and Inje, which are the recommended destinations for November during the '2025-2026 Visit Gangwon Years.' By combining the region's seasonal tourism resources with gourmet content, the program was designed to allow domestic and international tourists to experience Gangwon's diverse winter culture.
At the festival, the foundation introduced Gangwon's representative dishes and local specialties and promoted the '2025-2026 Visit Gangwon Years' through events in which foreign tourists could directly participate. Various experiential programs, including social networking service (SNS) participation events, were also operated to provide opportunities to experience the tastes and styles of Gangwon firsthand.
With this event as a starting point, the foundation plans to establish a global gourmet tourism model linked to local festivals and to expand the food and culture of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province into the global market. In particular, the foundation intends to systematically promote Gangwon's tastes and styles overseas, focusing on major winter festivals such as the Pyeongchang Highland Kimchi Festival, the Trout Festival, and the Inje Dried Pollack Festival.
