Unlike traditional lecture-based formats, it was conducted as a discussion- and participation-oriented program. Sokcho City focused on enhancing gender sensitivity within the public sector and fostering a healthy organizational culture through this initiative.
The session was led by Ahn Myeongja, a professional instructor from the Korea Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education. Key topics included proper understanding and response to the four major types of violence, the responsibilities and roles of senior officials, and strategies for spreading gender equality values within the organization. In particular, the program provided a practical platform for open dialogue, allowing participants to freely share opinions based on real-life cases and to strengthen gender sensitivity and promote a culture of gender equality.
