Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will begin the first round of recruitment for beneficiaries of the "2026 Young Farmers' Agricultural Settlement Support Project" until December 11.

View original imageThis project aims to foster future agricultural talent by identifying promising prospective farmers and agricultural managers, and supporting them with low-interest loans and agricultural settlement grants.
Eligible applicants are young people aged 18 or older but under 39 (born between 1985 and 2008). Those born in 1985 are eligible to apply only for the first round of recruitment in 2026.
Applicants must either be planning to start independent farm management or have less than three years of independent management experience. They must reside in Yangju City and either currently operate or plan to operate a business in Yangju City.
Selected participants will be eligible for loans of up to 500 million won per household, with a five-year grace period and 20-year equal principal repayment at an annual interest rate of 1.5%. The loans can be used for purchasing farmland, installing facilities, or acquiring agricultural machinery.
In addition, the agricultural settlement grant will be provided to young farmers with unstable initial income. After starting independent management, they can receive a monthly voucher of 1.1 million to 900 thousand won for up to three years, depending on the year, to be used for household expenses and farming capital.

Citizens wishing to apply for the project can do so online via the Agricultural Project Information System (Agrix) within the deadline, without visiting in person.
