Under this agreement, Gwangju City will provide administrative and financial support to schools participating in the opening of their facilities; the Office of Education will gather feedback from school principals and cooperate to ensure the smooth implementation of facility openings; and each school will actively participate in opening their facilities to increase community use.
Since signing the first agreement with 10 schools in June 2023, the city has continued to promote the school facility opening project in close cooperation with the Gwangju Hanam Office of Education.
With the addition of 45 more schools through this agreement, agreements have now been signed with all schools in the region, and the city expects the opening of school facilities to the public to become even more active.
