Inje County Introduces Generative AI Capacity-Based Service 'Inje County AI GPT' for Public Officials
Inje County to Offer Nine AI Models Including ChatGPT and Gemini for Tailored Use
Accelerating Smart Administration and Establishing a Responsible Public AI Utilization System
Inje County, Gangwon Province, is implementing various generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools-including ChatGPT and Gemini-across its administrative operations to enhance work efficiency and strengthen employees' AI utilization capabilities.
The county announced that on October 27, it introduced "Inje County AI GPT," a generative AI capacity-based service where costs are paid based on organizational usage, and began applying it to administrative work. Prior to the rollout, all employees received training to ensure smooth adoption, reflecting the county's proactive approach.
According to the county, a preliminary survey on generative AI usage revealed that 56% of employees were already using AI in their work, and 81% expressed willingness to use it if a paid version were provided.
Unlike traditional subscription-based services, "Inje County AI GPT" allows users to selectively utilize nine different models-including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Llama, Mistral AI, and Grok-depending on the situation. For example, Claude can be used for document creation and summarization, Perplexity and Gemini for real-time searches, and Grok for analyzing the latest social network service (SNS) trends, enabling each model's specialized features to be matched to the nature of the work.
The county requires all employees using AI to agree to terms of service that ensure compliance with information security, personal data protection, and AI ethics. The county will rigorously enforce management principles tailored to public institutions, including: prohibiting the input of sensitive information; verifying generated content and specifying sources; and blocking biased or false information. Through these measures, the county aims to establish a safe and responsible AI administrative culture and create a foundation for all employees to actively utilize AI in their practical work.
