[Today's New Release] Shin Ramyun "Kimchi Bokkeummyeon" Rides the "Swicy Trend"
Nongshim to Launch "Shin Ramyun Kimchi Bokkeummyeon" Globally
Limited Release in Korea on November 24
On November 4, Nongshim announced that it will launch its new product, "Shin Ramyun Kimchi Bokkeummyeon," targeting overseas consumers in the global market by the end of this year. In Korea, the product will be introduced first as a limited edition on November 24.
Shin Ramyun Kimchi Bokkeummyeon was first unveiled by Nongshim at "Anuga 2025" in Germany in October. Reflecting the recent "Swicy" trend, the product features a combination of sweetness familiar to international consumers and the uniquely Korean sweet and spicy flavors. "Swicy" (Sweet+Spicy) is a newly coined term referring to the combination of sweet and spicy tastes and has gained popularity among foreigners seeking new flavor experiences across various categories, from dining menus to beverages and ice cream.
Shin Ramyun Kimchi Bokkeummyeon harmonizes the signature spiciness of Shin Ramyun with the savory and sweet taste of stir-fried kimchi. The rich taste and texture are enhanced by a kimchi paste sauce stir-fried with sesame oil, along with bok choy and kimchi flakes.
A Nongshim representative stated, "Shin Ramyun Kimchi Bokkeummyeon is set to become our flagship global product in 2026, and we plan to nurture it as a leading K-food brand in the future. We aim to further elevate the status of K-food in the global market."
