Yangju City to Establish 'Mobile Remote-Controlled Automatic Brine Spraying System'
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will establish a "mobile-based automatic brine spraying system" to respond quickly to heavy snowfall and road icing during the winter season.
Previously, the city had installed and operated automatic brine spraying devices on major road sections; however, the existing system could only be operated through computers installed on-site, which limited immediate response in emergency situations.
The newly introduced system applies mobile-based remote control technology, allowing staff to operate and manage the brine spraying devices in real time via smartphone, not only from the office but also from outside locations.
This will enable rapid snow removal operations in the event of heavy snowfall or icing, and is expected to significantly contribute to preventing road slip accidents and ensuring citizen safety.
