Raonsecure, an IT security and authentication platform company led by CEOs Lee Soonhyung and Lee Jeonga, conducted a K-DID and security technology training program for officials from the Ministry of Technology and Communications (MTC) of Laos at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 28th.
The training was attended by more than ten key officials, including Khamphay Inthara, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Technology and Communications.
Raonsecure introduced the excellence of its blockchain-based K-DID technology and the open-source OmniOne OpenDID platform, which can be easily applied overseas, drawing significant interest from Lao officials. The company also shared insights into the latest hacking trends, such as AI, deepfake, and open-source Trojan horses, along with various security technologies to counter these threats.
In addition, several solutions captured the attention of participants, including the FIDO-based multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution "OnePass," the app tampering prevention solution "TouchEn Appiron," the integrated account and access management platform "TouchEn Wiseaccess," and a deepfake detection demonstration using "Raon Mobile Security."
Laos is considered one of the countries in Southeast Asia with the strongest commitment to digital transformation. Since 2021, the country has actively pursued digital transformation policies, implementing e-government, nurturing digital talent, commercializing 5G, and strengthening cybersecurity. Recently, through the "2030 Digital Vision" implementation roadmap, Laos has been accelerating its transition to e-government and the revitalization of the digital economy. Raonsecure expects this training to serve as a stepping stone for expanding future cooperation projects, including the introduction of blockchain-based digital ID in Laos.
Following last year's collaborations with governments in Japan, Costa Rica, Indonesia, and Mongolia, Raonsecure has been accelerating the expansion of its digital ID business this year by broadening K-DID technology exchanges with visits from officials from Latin American countries such as Peru, Honduras, and Costa Rica.
