On October 30, Shilla Duty Free announced that it will be the exclusive retailer in the domestic duty-free industry to introduce "Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor," a renowned Taiwanese spirit and popular souvenir.
Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor is a premium baijiu brand that represents Taiwan, originating from Kinmen Island in 1952. It is characterized by its deep and clean flavor, achieved through the use of pure underground water, a traditional high-temperature solid fermentation process, and aging in ceramic jars.
Shilla Duty Free is offering a total of eight types of Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor. The lineup includes the widely popular "58% Kinmen Kaoliang Platinum Dragon" as well as the premium "56% Kinmen Kaoliang 12-Year Aged."
The flagship product, "58% Kinmen Kaoliang Platinum Dragon," features a subtle orchid aroma and a smooth taste reminiscent of sweet dew. It pairs especially well with Asian cuisine, making it one of the most popular and widely enjoyed baijiu brands.
The "56% Kinmen Kaoliang 12-Year Aged" is matured for over 12 years in the Kinmen tunnel cellar, where temperature and humidity are carefully controlled. This allows for delicate notes ranging from sandalwood and grains to fruity aromas such as pineapple and smoked plum.

Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor, now available at Shilla Duty Free, can be purchased at the Seoul and Jeju branches as well as on the Shilla Internet Duty Free store. The online store is also running a promotion offering whiskey glasses and canvas bags with the purchase of alcoholic beverages. In addition, Shilla Duty Free’s Incheon Airport Terminal 1 location is holding tasting events for whiskey brands Benriach, Glenglassaugh, and Glendronach.
