Samcheok City to Host 'Jukseoru Dadamyeon' Nighttime Event
Special Evening Program 'Dadamyeon' at Jukseoru Pavilion from Late October to Early November
Samcheok City in Gangwon Province will host the nighttime cultural program 'Jukseoru Dadamyeon (Tea Conversation Banquet),' which blends traditional tea and the arts, at the Jukseoru Pavilion area at 7 p.m. on October 30 and 31, and November 6 and 7.
'Dadamyeon' is an event where the National Treasure Jukseoru Pavilion will be specially opened at night. Utilizing traditional lighting and props, the program allows participants to enjoy tea and traditional entertainment in a tranquil and subtly illuminated atmosphere. Attendees can experience a variety of activities, including making traditional tea and sharing traditional snacks with tea ceremony experts, as well as enjoying performances.
This event is part of the '2025 Lively National Heritage Utilization Project,' designed to allow citizens and tourists to appreciate the historical value and aesthetic beauty of Jukseoru Pavilion, Samcheok's representative national heritage site. Reservations can be made using a QR code in advance, and the participation fee is 10,000 won.
A city official stated, "We hope visitors will be able to spend a relaxing time while savoring the deepening autumn atmosphere at Jukseoru Pavilion," adding, "We also hope this event will serve as an opportunity to promote the beauty of traditional culture."
