Why did global Small Modular Reactor (SMR) experts visit Changwon?
On October 29, SNT Energy announced that global SMR officials had visited its headquarters in Changwon, Gyeongnam.
This visit was part of the official schedule for the 'Gyeongnam SMR International Conference,' hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do. Key global nuclear power companies, including officials from the Utah Office of Energy Development, representatives from the Maryland Governor's Office, ThorCon, TerraPower, Nano Nuclear, and Saltfoss, participated in the event.

During the visit, SNT Energy introduced its capabilities in manufacturing various nuclear power plant components, such as surface condensers and heat exchangers, as well as nuclear piping, to the attendees. The company also discussed mutual cooperation plans for producing and supplying key equipment for SMRs and nuclear power plants at its factory in Louisiana, USA.
