The main components of the project include the construction of 15.6 kilometers of new water pipelines and the installation of seven booster pump stations.
The areas targeted for the local water supply expansion are 11 villages: Majang-ri and Gaegok-ri in Gapyeong-eup; Wigok 1-ri and Seonchon 2-ri in Seorak-myeon; Cheongpyeong 5-ri and Daeseong 1-ri in Cheongpyeong-myeon; Haenghyeon 1-ri, Hangsa-ri, and Wonheung-ri in Sang-myeon; and Sinsang 1-ri and Sangpan-ri in Jojong-myeon.
Gapyeong County expects that, upon completion of the project, about 200 households-approximately 400 residents-will be able to use a stable and clean tap water supply.
