Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Organization (President Kim Namil) announced that the 'Sansam (Wild Greens + Pork Belly) Day' event will be held twice, on November 1 and November 29, at Janggak Falls in Sangju and the Baekdudaegan National Arboretum in Bonghwa, to promote forest tourism in the northern region of Gyeongsangbuk-do.
'Sansam Day' is an experiential tourism program that combines forest resources with gourmet content, allowing participants to enjoy healthy local foods such as wild greens and pork belly. The event aims to showcase the charm of forest tourism in northern Gyeongsangbuk-do and to revitalize the local economy.
The event will feature a variety of experiential programs, including tasting experiences with signature wild greens from Sangju and Bonghwa such as gomchwi, chamnamul, and bracken; booths for promoting and selling local agricultural specialties; and sharing of wild greens cooking recipes.
In particular, the event is organized in conjunction with the 'Gyeongbuk Baekdudaegan Trail 6 Challenge,' offering a wellness tourism experience where participants can enjoy trekking and then relax and rejuvenate by tasting fresh local wild greens.
