Muju County Offers Up to 20% Discount on Local Gift Certificates
Until November 9... During the 'Korea Grand Festival'
Muju County in North Jeolla Province will offer up to a 20% discount on the Muju Sarang Gift Certificate during the 'Korea Grand Festival,' which will take place from October 29 to November 9.
According to the county on October 28, the 'Korea Grand Festival' is a large-scale national discount event jointly organized by government ministries such as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. During the festival period, those who purchase the Muju Sarang Gift Certificate will receive a 15% upfront discount, with an additional 5% cashback credited on top of that.
The cashback will be automatically credited in real time through the Hometown Sarang Pay app (APP) when payment is made with the Muju Sarang Card. However, this does not apply to paper gift certificates or policy subsidy payments.
Hwang Inhong, Governor of Muju County, stated, "Since last month, we have increased the purchase limit for the Muju Sarang Gift Certificate by 300,000 won, allowing purchases up to 1 million won, and also raised the discount rate to 15%. With the additional 5% cashback, residents can now enjoy a total 20% discount. I encourage everyone to use the local gift certificate for shopping, dining out, and leisure activities."
He added, "I hope this event will help ease the financial burden on residents, provide valuable benefits to tourists visiting Muju, and revitalize the local economy."
