The purpose was to review the cooperation system with relevant agencies, including fire departments, police, and military units, and to strengthen response capabilities.
More than 50 participants attended the exercise, including staff from the Jangsu County Health and Medical Center, the Infectious Disease Control Division of North Jeolla Province, Jangsu Police Station, Jangsu Fire Station, and the 7733 Military Unit.
The participants engaged in practical training sessions such as theoretical education on the bioterrorism response system, practice in donning and doffing personal protective equipment (Level A and C), training on the use of multi-toxin detection kits, and procedures for specimen packaging and safe transport, thereby checking the crisis response system.
Through this exercise, the county focused on reviewing initial response and interagency cooperation procedures in the event of an actual terrorist attack or infectious disease outbreak, and on establishing a prompt and systematic response system.
Choi Hunsik, the county governor, stated, "Bioterrorism is not just a public health crisis but an issue that threatens the safety of society as a whole, so initial response and cooperation among relevant agencies are more important than anything else. We will continue to do our utmost to protect the lives and safety of our residents through thorough preparation and collaboration."
